Spring/Summer 2012 | Le Mont St Michel

The collections Le Mont St Michel are inspired by his vintage legacy associated with rock, chic and modern. The brand represents the « french touch » abroad, combining the taste of retro and the popular « avant-garde » with young people from New York to Tokyo.

The brand of workwear Le Mont Saint Michel was born in 1913 a few kilometers from the famous abbey. During this same period, Caroline Lesaffre creates les Tricotages de l’Aa, a stitch factory, and a school for young women whose fathers, brothers and husbands did not return of the war. In 1964, Patrice Milan, the grand son of Caroline Lessafre takes the reins of the company and develops the factory. Lover of French heritage, he bought the castle of Monthorin and installed Les Tricotages de l’Aa. The factory continues to thrive til 2000, producing for famous artists as Agnes B., Gerard Darel or Joseph.

In 1998, Alexander Milan, succeeded his father as head of the factory, he bought the brand Le Mont Saint Michel, once famous for the quality of his work clothes. His ambition is to bring two beautiful stories around with a common knowledge and background fabric of nearly a century, and thus offer a unique label of neo-traditional style. Le Mont Saint Michel offers collections of prêt-à-porter and accessories for women, men and children.
